A double event for Slamp during Milan’s 2016 Design Week, the internationally recognized fair for the design-addicted.

Slamp’s La Traviata, design by Robert Wilson, named by the New York Times as the world’s foremost avant-garde theater visionary, was unveiled this past April 12-17 in an intriguing site-specific installation during Wallpaper* Magazine’s Handmade event. Wallpaper* is one of the world’s leading design and lifestyle magazine.

The Triennale di Milano theatre was the second backdrop for the luminous sculptures, where 50 guests were invited on the Salone del Mobile’s opening night to dine under 16 La Traviata light sculptures, perfectly choreographed for the evening. Jacopo Foggini’s 4-meter in diameter chandelier for Slamp was hung in the theatre during the 2015 Salone, adding to the Wilson’s sculptures’ magical, colourful reflections.
