2015: 9 new collections for Euroluce
At Euroluce, the biennial lighting show of the Salone del Mobile, nine new collections were presented in a world premiere, a perfect combination of LED technology and decorative elements, contextualised in a living room of 500 square meters which offered an intimate view of the new projects and Slamp’s design icons.
2015: the Chandelier for the Triennale of Milan
With design by Jacopo Foggini, an artist hypnotising viewers with his dramatic creations in methacrylate, Slamp creates an impressive chandelier for the Teatro dell’Arte of Triennale di Milano. With a 4 metre diameter and featuring tones of white and blue, the chandelier is part of a wider restyling project underway at the Teatro dell’Arte and is drawing inspiration in terms of style and colours from architect Giovanni Muzio’s original design (from the 1930s).
2014: The Moodboarders Magazine
A duet with Cristina Morozzi, a journalist and critic on the border between design, art and fashion. Slamp publishes its new editorial project The Moodboarders Magazine, which discuses design, art, fashion and locations.
2014: ADI Design Index
One year after its launch, Zaha Hadid’s Avia collection is selected by the ADI Design Index, the first step towards the Compasso D’Oro, and simultaneously Governor Zingaretti rewards Slamp for its design excellence.
2013: Zaha Hadid
At Euroluce Milan, along with 7 other collections, Aria and Avia, the new lamps by archistar Zaha Hadid, are presented in a world premiere. In the same year they are installed at the DAC in Copenhagen and a few months later at the Tokyo Opera City Art Gallery and the Dongdaemun Design Plaza in Seoul.
2011: Euroluce
With a display of recycled pallets arranged vertically to create islands, new collections and best sellers are contextualised. Mille Bolle, Woody, Faretto and Chapeau are presented.
2010: Veli and the Red Dot Award
Adriano Rachele, the young talent scouted by Ziliani, when only 25 years old designs the Veli collection, a company best-seller. In 2012, the lamp won the Red Dot Design Award.
2009: Euroluce
At the international lighting exhibition Slamp presents a new look: a dynamic performance that inserts creations on a stage of light. Cactus, Sunrise, Drop, Atlas and Crazy Diamond see the light.
2007: Art Direction by Nigel Coates
Nigel Coates becomes Art Director of the company and, with Roberto Ziliani, creates a young and motivated working group based on a new scheme of values.
2006: The stylistic evolution
From the encounter with architect Nigel Coates and the first collaboration for the Swarovski Crystal Palace, Slamp continues in the direction of more three-dimensional shapes: the SLAMPVille catalogue is published, Ginetta, Fiorella and Medusa are born.
2003: The totemic forms
Between 2002 and 2005 the totemic lamps come to life (Bach, Bali and Diamond) as a natural evolution of Slamp Tube, with a more three-dimensional development.
2000: New experiments
The fusion begins with the most precious materials, like Swarovski (Topkapi) and leather (White Bamboo) and Cristalflex is patented, a transparent material like glass, sparkling and light.
1998: Katalogos: the cultural project
With the contribution of François Zille, Almerico De Angelis and Walter Garro, the Slamp Team creates Katalogos, half catalogue and half magazine: a cultural project that embraces art, design and literature.
1996: Alessandro Mendini
The Atelier collection is born, coordinated by Alessandro Mendini and produced by Sanchita Ajjampur, Massimo Caiazzo, Sergio Cascavilla, Francesco Castiglione Morelli, Walter Garro, Louise Gibb, Anna Gili, Maria Christina Hamel, Randi Kristensen, Dagmar Trinks, Nanae Umeda and Wendy Wheatley.
1994: ART: collection and cornerstone
The debut is with the ARTE collection, 12 works of graphic art made for Slamp Tube by 3 artists: Cini Di Pianzano, Ghelli and Marchetti. The artistic valence is the cornerstone that is regenerated over the years.
1993: The patented material
The creation of the first collection starts from the patenting of the material: Opalflex®, a mixture of polymers and glass crystals, unbreakable, light and versatile.
1992: Roberto Ziliani’s brainchild
Roberto Ziliani had in mind a product of accessible design, capable of revolutionising the concept of decorative illumination. He designed Slamp Tube, a cylindrically shaped lamp, personalised graphically.
