February 12, 2016 German Design Award 2016: Chantal

Doriana and Massimiliano Fuksas’ first collection for Slamp, Chantal, received a special mention in the Lighting category of the prestigious German design Awards, 2016.

Chantal’s strong form was awarded for its ever-changing, architectural shapes, created thanks to its 5 super-imposed, patented technopolymer layers that surround LED technology. The suspension seems to be modelled on a singular, industrious frame, much like honeycomb, with its impalpable characteristics. Its concentric, hexagonal shapes allow for unending points of view from every angle.
